IMA Special Parts Thumb Brake System (TBS)

The thumb brake introduced a new bike riding style that offers great advantages, first of all a better braking feeling, given by the thumb finger. Recently this riding style became a proper trend for track enthusiasts, in fact, once learnt the correct handling of the lever, the TBS lets you control the bike even while cornering and manage the bike power once out of the curve.

The TBS strengths lie within the flexibility of its structure that allows multiple setting and adjusting possibilities to optimize the space exploitation on the bike. Thanks to the 4 setups offered this product can be applied both on the bar tube and the fork, and also allows to reuse the OEM rear master cylinder, avoiding additional costs

But, for even greater results, IMA Special Parts has designed its own master cylinder, from billet in ERGAL alloy.

Options:

Fork or Handlebar mounting without mastercylinder

This is the cheaper version, for people who renounces to the pedal brake, installing the removed rear OEM master cylinder onto our TBS (only if the OEM master cylinder is included among the models supported by TBS, see the diagram).

This kit can be installed on the fork or on the bar tube. The collars are suitable for 50 to 55 fork diameters.

There is also an upgrade that provides the both installing solutions, on fork and on tube bar.

For people who also wants to maintain the pedal brake in addition to the thumb brake. With this option, the customer must move the rear OEM master cylinder to the front (installed on TBS) and install the special IMA master cylinder to the pedal.
